Hi Everyone,
so i was testing clusters and set one up but managed to break it.
so i googled how to remove a node and followed the guides and found this command
pvecm delnode pve
however this did not fully remove the node so i was trying lots of different things that i found
the last thing i found was to remove the files in /etc/pve/nodes/*
i had some issues removing them so i stopped and restarted these services
systemctl restart pvestatd.service
systemctl restart pvedaemon.service
systemctl restart pve-cluster.service
systemctl restart corosync
systemctl restart pve-cluster
a few times before i managed to remove all the files
after i removed all the files i checked the web interface and found that the second node was removed from the cluster
i checked the second node and the web interface did not work
so i reset the quorom using the following command
pvecm expected 1
everything seemed all good but i didnt expand the vm's
so left it then later tryed to expand the vm's on the main host but noticed all the vm's were gone
however the vm's were running
so i restarted the server (which thinking about it now was probably a bad idea)
now i am missing all the vm's
all the vm's disks are still there which is good but i dont know which vm's are which nor what settings each of them had.
i did have PBS (proxmox backup server) running but i haven't had a chance to set it up on a physical machine so it was running on a VM on the primary host, however i do have all the data as that was connected to a NAS
so at this point in time that is down also
i am running version 8.2.2
do i have any chance of getting the config's back or do i just have roll the dice mounting each one of the disks to a vm then finding out what each one of them is?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
