Those cards that require a NVidia GRID VGPU license, probably. I hope you already tested if your motherboard (and CPU) supports passthrough and has good IOMMU groups.what nvidia gpu you have in servers?
Oh I see your edit now which vendor 6950xt you have? Those cards that require a NVidia GRID VGPU license, probably. I hope you already tested if your motherboard (and CPU) supports passthrough and has good IOMMU groups.
EDIT: Sorry, I though you were asking about NVidia server GPUs. I've had great success with AMD HD7750, RX570 (with vendor-reset) and 6950XT.
AMD, no really, just AMD.Oh I see your edit now which vendor 6950xt you have?
Not all of the 6000 series is perfect for passthrough: https://www.reddit.com/r/VFIO/comments/tq9j5v/need_help_compiling_a_list_of_amd_6000_series/I tested Asrock rx 6600 too but it have reset bug. Passthrough works fine but issues when restart etc.
No, vGPU has no output. It's for enterprise hypervisors servers/cloud i.e. remote clients.I've read about vgpu (thanks for inspiration) because I never heard about this concept. I understand it as a posibility to run multiple vm with sharing one gpu to them. With that feature I can do own gaming cloud, right? with vgpu can I have multiple output? (dedicate every displayport to other vm?)
I don't know but I always understood that NVidia does not want people to use passthrough.RTX 4070 Super have good price now but can't find any info about passthrough.
So assume, that pcie passthrough should be fine with rtx ( license are for vgpu ) ?
AMD ray-tracing is (much) weaker than NVidia and no CUDA support. But good open-source drivers on AMD that come with Linux. I assume all 6800 and higher work with passthrough, but I cannot give guarantees.I found that (it's reference card) rx 6900xt- what do you think? It's moooore cheaper than rtx 4070 ti super but same parameters...
