out of mutiple proxmox nodes, seems only 1 node with over 1060 openvz/kvm vps keep getting error Login Failed from time to time, when trying to access the proxmox GUI, have tried restarting below services but still no luck, only workaround seems to reboot the whole node. But it happens again after 24 hours. Any permanent fix or other way to fix it without reboot?

service pvedaemon restart
service pvestatd restart
service pveproxy restart
service pve-manager restart
service pve-cluster restart

thank you

already did apt-get update and apt-get upgrade then reboot yesterday, only worked for few hours then Login Failed again to web interface. No firewall is setup.

the node has cluster, someone mentioning to reinstall pve-manager, is it safe to just remove and reinstall pve-manager?

apt-get remove pve-manager
apt-get install pve-manager

Is the system time correct on all nodes?

Yes, thanks for reply, the only thing have not tried is reinstall pve-manager as suggested on other thread, not sure if it'll be safe to do it on a cluster node or not

There's also another thread about adding loopback in interfaces, not sure on the correct entry to add.

Hi !

I've the same problem with 2 server since I updated from proxmox 3 (no problem before)...

The 2 servers are not in cluster mode, I can login 1 time, but I don't have the status of VM and name..., after 5 minutes nothing work, I close proxmox interface, open again and this is the end, I can't login anymore I need to reboot the server, after all is OK for a few hours...

Have you got updated from proxmox 3 bob y ? or it's new install ?
Because I think to reinstall from a clean proxmox 4 install...

Or someone have idea ?

Thanks !

It's an upgrade from 3.1 to now 3.4, have been searching but the only other solutions suggested that I have not tried is remove/install pve-manager and adding loopback to /etc/network/interfaces. need suggestions from someone if it is safe to do that or not on a cluster.

I already have loopback, but same problem :( it's not seem to be the solution.

For remove/install pve-manager I didn't test. dietmar, is it without risk ?

Thanks
