logical volume & missing data

It seems some how I have lost a logical volume, well actually the logical volume has a "whack" of missing directories etc.
It is the pve-data volumes, it held the 2 vms on the pve. Is there any way of recovering or fixing. Sadly, I am not well versed in lvm2
usage etc. thank you for your time

thanks, it worthy of further investigation. I will investigate further. I did finally happen to locate a backup of one of the VM's, i was stored
offsite and will take some time to download. oh yes, backups are your friend, and I am generally very good about that. thanks for the link
