Location for backups

Hi,
I need to restore a broken webserver which won't start the MySQL.
Rather than mess around fixing this, I will restore a working backup.
I went to Proxmox > Server View > Datacenter > proxmox > Webserver > Backup.
No backups are there as I transfer the backups to a remote computer.
To move the backup from the remote computer to the Proxmox, I'm wondering what location the backup should be stored in for the Proxmox GUI Restore to find the backup file?

I moved the backup from the remote computer to the proxmox location /var/backups, but the Proxmox GUI Backup doesn't find the backed up file, so I can't restore it?
 
I think I found the location at root@proxmox:/var/backups/dump#.
1st restore failed and 2nd attempt seemed to work.
Restore from a week earlier backup and same MySQL problem?
