Local storage issue with 2 node cluster

I've a 2 box cluster - master & node for my lab.

I have used proxmox for a while with just a single box, and had no issues.

It was when I added another box and created a cluster, I am having an issue adding local storage to the node.

I can add to the master OK, but get "Error: You do not have write access." when adding a local disk to the node.

That is expected behaviour. All nodes share the same storage configuration (So local storage is assumed to be the same on all nodes).

Firstly, thanks for your response & an awesome product.

So can I not have a local drive in a node that is physically in the node, or do I have to save/run over the LAN to a disk in the Master box? (which sounds crazy)

Or can I name the drive in the node with the same name/set up as the master local storage & would be save to a nodes physical storage ans not go over the LAN to the master.

Basically yes. For example you mount your local drive on /mnt/mydrive1 at both nodes.

You can then create a 'directory' type storage which points to that directory.

Or you use a LVM volume group with the same name.
