Hi All!

I've a problem adding a node to a cluster.
As soon I add it I see the local-lvm of all nodes reported with the question mark.
Even if i remove the node, the local-lvm remains marked with question mark in the node removed.
Perhaps the problem is due to the fact that I've the new node with ZFS storage and the others in the cluster with ext4?

Thank you!

Hi,

without any details/config files provided this would be my initial guess:
in Datacenter/Storage edit the local-lvm storage and select the nodes, which actually have it locally available.

@gtrovato ,

The short answer is "yes" - the fact that you are merging nodes into a single cluster that have different local-lvm definitions is what is causing the question marks.

When you add a node to the cluster, there is a warning that any existing configuration on the new node will be removed. The file that contains storage definitions (storage.cfg) is distributed cluster-wide and read by each node. If a local-lvm definition no longer matches or exists, the storage will be marked with a "?".

There are a few steps you can take:
a) Mark any node-specific storage with the node xxxx attribute.
b) Rename conflicting local-lvm storage pools to something like local-node1, local-node2.
c) Sync the LVM configuration to match on each node.
