I don't know "PSB", and assuming it is not a typo: Did you take a look at PBS (Proxmox Backup Server) [1]? With PBS you will do fast backups which are full and incremental at the same time [2].I am looking for Live incremental backups feature similar like on PSB.
if backup via PBS then yes incremental at the same time but if i backup via PVE then it doesn't have the function incremental at the same time like on PBS (attach files).
Why are you doing this?i am using both types of backup (PBS and backup of hard drives mounted on the same physical server).
Just to clarify: PBS always does a full backup but it deduplicates automatically (which saves on network transfer and storage). That's different from what most people call an incremental backup, where you need both the original backup and one or more increments to restore it.if backup via PBS then yes incremental at the same time
I fully agree but one small addition: If you have change block tracking, you will only transfer those changed blocks, which can be seen as a kind of incremental backup and it does not read the whole VM again. This does of course only apply to PBS.PBS always does a full backup
