Limiting network speed/transfer rate on virtual interface?

Hello

I am curious to know if I can impose limits on network speeds/transfer rates for KVM and OpenVZ virtual machines.

I believe its possible with OpenVZ but I am not entirely sure about KVM or if it may work with Proxmox openvz.
