KVM to LXC - or - use VM disk as container?

I saw that Proxmox VE 4.0 is using raw images and loop mounts for containers.

There is an older article in the net
https://www.stgraber.org/2012/03/04/booting-an-ubuntu-12-04-virtual-machine-in-an-lxc-container/
which explains, how to use a real VM image for booting a container.

I didn't try that, will do it later.

Question:
Does/will Proxmox have any support for this? Like using raw images "anywhere on storage" for containers?

BTW
Very happy with 4.0, upgrade worked like a charm. Thanks for your work.

I don't think that is a great enhancement - it just makes things more complex (backup/restore?). But you can easily copy
such partition into a separate image file.
