Hi,
Some of my vm-s freeze after live migration. Dmesg shows soft lockups on the cpu. It's not related to machine being SMP or uni-cpu.
I've read that changing your time source is a remedy. However all my machines are using jiffies as time source. Also in available_clocksources I have only jiffies to choose. The hypervisor (proxmox) uses hpet as a time source.
How to enable different time sources in your vm-s?
Some specs of my machines:
Hardware: Intel 5540 CPU
proxmox-1.6 with 2.6.35 kernel, KVM
guests are centos 5.4 using virtio
