Starting from version 1.3, the installer uses kernel 2.6.15.

If you update from 1.2 to 1.3 via the servicepack3, the kernel is not updated because this is not necessary - we updated the kernel mainly due to hardware recognition.

If you want to upgrade the kernel, please use console login:

Update to kernel 2.6.15:
1: wget http://www.proxmox.com/cms_proxmox/cms/upload/kernel/proxmox-kernel_2.6.15-4_i386.deb

2: dpkg -i proxmox-kernel_2.6.15-4_i386.deb

3: reboot

VM-Ware issues:
We do not recommend and support installing version 1.3 in a live system in vmware because of timing problems with kernel 2.6

Starting from 1.4 we include VMWare in testing and the plan is, to certify it. The Kernel above (Kernel from 1.4 works quite good in vmware).

Regards,
Martin
