First off, I am a total PVE newbie. I have been doing some googling and trolling the forum, but haven't found a solution to my issue. This is a "I want to learn more project", so please don't hesitate to ask if I've checked the obvious.

I have been "successful" in installing PVE 5.1.3 bare metal in that I can always get to GNU GRUB screen, but any time it tries to boot (Proxmox Virtual Environment GNU/Linux) I get a kernel panic. I have attached a screenshot of the errors I see before the panic.

I have run the Dell built in hardware test against the drive which was pulled from a working environment. No errors. I have also run the PVE memtest from GNU GRUB, no errors. Am I doing something wrong? Hardware issue? Any suggestions are most appreciated, thanks! Nothing else is installed on this machine at all.

Hardware:
Dell R710
Dual Intel E5620
8GB RAM (2x4GB)
H200 flashed to IT mode
240GB SSD (ext4fs)

Looks like a Hardware error on the SSD, maybe also something with the RAID Controller and a SSD.

Can you remove the HW RAID Controller and use the onboard controller on that machine?
