Hi,

I have gnome installed on top of PVE, so I am using the host server as my main workstation. Since upgarding to PVE 1.2, x server can not be started with the new kernel. When I start it I am getting these messages:

Kernel:Oops:0000 [10] PREEMPT SMP
Kernel:CR2 0000000000000000

if I boot with the old kernel (2.6.24-2-pve) , I am able to run x server. My video card is nVidia GeForce 8200.

Thanks

[Solved] Re: Kernel Oops when starting x server PVE 1.2

Hi,

It turned out, it was compiling the nvidia driver using the old kernel header files, so after installing the new headers, it got fixed.

thanks
