Has anyone ever seen this error pop up? or now how to address it? We are not seeing any issues, but this error is popping up every few seconds.

Hi,

we are facing the same behavior for nics which use i40e module

WARNING: Link is up but PHY type 0xe is not recognized.
it seems to be a mis alignement between fw and driver versions but i not sure because not all my proxmox nodes have those logs

have you find a solution or workaround

We have not unfortunately. We are seeing no issues other than the warning, and have just ignored it for now. We will soon be upgrading, so it will eventually be a non-issue for us.
