Issues installing - cannot format ext3

I've tried installing both 1.3 and 1.4beta. Both of them refuse to run mkfs.ext3 to format the file system on my raid card. I tried using the "debug" option at boot, and while trying to start the formatting process it gives off:

Unable to initialize physical volume /dev/sda2 at /usr/bin/proxinstall line 542.

During the boot up debug process, I saw my LSI Raid card get detected and was able to run cfdisk and see the current partition table (and wipe it clean). So I don't think it's a compatibility issue with the Raid card... This is on an HP DL160 G5 (Quad Core Xeon 2.0 GHz, 13 GB ram, 4x 500 GB WD Caviar Black) if that helps.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Proxmox looks like a pretty solid product and I'd like to give it a shot at being in our production environment instead of proprietary virtualization products like ESXi/XenServer (both of which have worked on this machine).

I assume your RAID is larger that 2TB? We use a standard MBR, which is restricted to 2TB.

It's 1 TB Raid 10. Uses 4x 500 GB drives.

Any other error message one the 2nd console (press CTRL-ALT-F2 to switch to console 2).

Strange. I have no idea whats wrong. Seem that the partition table is not correctly written.

I'm going to try DBANing the system and try again.

Seems to be that the RAID card was beginning to fail.. It won't go past the Raid BIOS now.... Going to try out Proxmox using a single drive until I get a new RAID card in. Thanks for the help, definitely not a Proxmox issue.
