Issues after Proxmox upgrade to Version 8 from 7

Hello Proxmox Team,

I am in the process of upgrading Proxmox from version 7 to 8

However, during the upgrade process, we get the following errors

E: Sub-process /usr/share/proxmox-ve/pve-apt-hook returned an error code (1)
E: Failure running script /usr/share/proxmox-ve/pve-apt-hook

Can someone please investigate these errors and advise on the possible fixes ?

no, before considering an upgrade to Proxmox VE 9, the upgrade to Proxmox VE 8 needs to be cleanly finished!

What command produced this error? Please share the full output of apt update and pveversion -v.
