Hello everyone,

i need your helps because i have a problem when i want to install proxmox on my pc. I use ventoy to install proxmox, i did it like 10-15 times on differents servers/pcs and never had an any problems.

But this time i mount my first pc piece by piece and ... this not work on it :( I tried with proxmox 8.1.1 and 7.4.

When i launch the proxmox setup everything is alright and suddenly my screen went black and nothing happen after that. It happen always on the same step. (look at the file)

I think i forgot something in the bios that cause this issue but dont know what.
I installed windows 10 and 11, also ubuntu on it and it works perfectly.

Thanks for the future responses and excuse me if i do some fault i try to not use the translator.

Hi,

can you try to copy the (Proxmox VE 8.1) ISO file directly to the USB (see our documentation), without Ventoy and see if that boots?
There has been some issue with Ventoy-based USBs in the past IIRC.

It might also be helpful to know what kind of hardware you have configured :)

Ok i will try but i always install proxmox with ventoy :p
Its a custom pc with a I7-10700, 32GO DDR4 3200 MHZ, 1 SSD nvme 250GO, 1 SSD nvme 500GO, 1 SSD 500GO, i had no CG. My motherboard is a Asus Prime Z490M-PLUS.

I dont use ventoy this time and the issue is the same. VMX was not active on my bios so i activate it but it dont resolv the problem.. I try hard like 2 hours but i dont know how to resolv the problem. I need help.

Finally i found the problem. proxmox cant loaded on a screen like my tv surely the definition was too high.
I try on regular pc screen and it works instantly. I should try it earlier but i thought the problem was more difficult than that lol.

But there should still be a workaround available to bypass this issue. As not everyone got a low resolution screen at home or office.

@cheiss Do you think it's resolution problem? I remember I've got some similar problems but might not resolution related. It's not working with a DP or HDMI port I remember, but when I switch to VGA, the proxmox installer works. But I'm still using the same screen
