Issue with SMARTCTL Command in Proxmox Backup Server 3.2-9: Bad Request (400) Error When Accessing Storage/Disks

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with Proxmox Backup Server 3.2-9 when accessing the Storage > Disks section. The error message I get is:

Bad Request (400)
command "smartctl" "-H" "-A" "-j" "/dev/sdb" failed - status code: 2 - no error message

This error occurs when trying to access the disk information for /dev/sdb. The status code "2" doesn’t provide much insight into the cause of the problem.

Has anyone encountered this issue or have any suggestions on how to resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's no disk sdb found so the check to that disk failed as follow up.

it seems likely that this is a bug in version 3.2.9. If the disk sdb doesn’t exist, the system should not be attempting to check it or generate an error message. This kind of behavior is often indicative of a misconfigured check or a known issue in the current release.

For both Directory and ZFS storage types, this message does not appear
