Hey there,
Message will be a bit long, I'll try to explain as much as I can (English is not my native language).
I'm having issue when installing PVE through USB drive (Corsair Data Traveller 32GB) on my server. Things got stuck at some point.
I've downloaded PVE 8.3-1 (latest version), made an bootable USB drive with Rufus (4.6 - latest version), and tried to install it on my Dell Precision T5610 server.
I can boot on the USB, I have the choice to select Graphical interface ect... but during the installation process, it gets stuck on a precise line.
When I made the USB with Rufus, with the ISO of PVE, it automatically detects the partition scheme as GPT and UEFI (non CSM) :
Legacy Options (CSM) in my BIOS wasn't active at this point, so I booted on the UEFI USB, selected Graphical and got stuck here :
Then I tried and enabled Legacy Options in my BIOS, but this time booting on the Legacy Storage USB, and got suck at the exact same point :
----------------------
I precise my T5610 came from with 2x Xeon E5-2620 V2 but I switched them to 2x E5-2697 V2.
PSU was originally 650W but switched to 850W (ATX PS2).
I didn't change the GPU, it's an NVIDIA Quadro K2000.
Also didn't touch to the RAM, SAMSUNG 128 GB DDR3.
----------------------
I tested everything through Windows 10, everything worked perfectly well, CPU, RAM, PSU, GPU.
The latest BIOS on my motherboard (DELL 0WN7Y6) is A19 and I already applied it.
----------------------
TPM, SecureBoot are disabled in my BIOS.
Everything linked to Virtualization is also enabled.
----------------------
I don't know what I can do now and I need help.
I've checked on the forum and found some identical issues from 2023, some said it was because of the NVIDIA GPU, but since we're almost in 2025,
I would need to know if this issue is still here.
