Issue Passing Through Broadcom / LSI SAS1068E HBA to VM

I am trying to virtualize TrueNAS and pass through the on board SAS controller to the vm. The VM will boot just fine when the PCIE device is removed but adding it will make seabios hang forever with no error message. I had found other threads on the topic but none of the solutions worked for me

Does your onboard HBA got its own IOMMU group or does it share it with other devices?
