I am currently evaluating a Proxmox cluster in a completely isolated subnet.
Connections to the ‘outside’ are currently only permitted for download.proxmox.com and debian.org.
The firewall regularly triggers when pveupdate attempts to connect to the outside.
188.114.96.4:443
188.114.97.4:443
users:‘pveupdate’
/usr/bin/pveupdate appears to be a script that controls the subscription, among other things.
Is this access due to the subscription?
Which DNS addresses would need to be enabled for this later, if necessary? So far, the evaluation is running without a subscription.
If not for subscriptions, what are the accesses for?
The goal is to completely disconnect the cluster network from the internet later on.
Thank you for any tips and comments that will help us move forward.
