Hi there proxmox experts,
I want to create a proxmox server, which will be used for testing servers as well as as a mirror of my NAS. I wonder if this could work:
0. Hardware: 4 core intel chip, with a server mb. 16gb ram and 5 disks for zfs raid.
1. Install proxmox from a significantly large USB drive, then
2. Install Omnios in a kvm, mount the 5 disks using the Omnios-napp-it and add them to zfs raid. export nfs share from this omnios-nappit installation.
3. Install OpenVZ in a second kvm and perhaps a couple of other kvm's and use the omnios nfs share as their storage.
Would this work? Would it take a severe performance hit? Do you have any suggested workflow that could make this work?
Thanks in advance.
