Is there a way to use Terraform to add newly created VM to an existing backup job?

Hi, long time lurker...
I've been messing about with Terraform to deploy VMs and that's working a treat. However, I would like to expand this functionality to actually include the VM in an existing (or new) backup job. Has anyone achieved this? Or has any know-how on how this could work? I've been looking through API's and I can't see any specific function setup for that on both PVE and PBS.
I suppose it could be achieved by parsing CLI commands through but I'm not sure which way to head...
At this point Ansible is not an option so I'm specifically looking to perform this task with Terraform.

You could define the backup jobs to backup all VMs from a specific pool.
Then add the new VM to that pool and it will be automatically backed up.
