I have a proxmox server running which has 2 x 2.5Gbe intel i226 ports and hsa a 10Gbe ethernet to USB C adaptor.

Here is my current network topology. I know its not the most efficient way of doing things but because of the way the ethernet is wired its the best i can do without doing multiple new runs in a house that has brick walls not plaster board walls (dry walls).

The router im using is the ISP supplied Technicolor router which has 3 x 1Gbe ports, 1 x 10Gbe port and 1 x 10Gbe WAN port.

What i want to do is to use the unused 2.5Gbs port on the proxmox server to connect to my Linksys wifi router running in bridge mode Via 2.5Gbe so i can get more than 945Mb via wifi. So i suppose what i want to do is have one of the 2.5Gbe ports as a switch. Something like the image below. I should also say that the Linksys Mesh Node's have 2 x 2.5Gbe ports and 2 x 1Gbe ports.
