Hello everyone.

I am possible starting a job here in a couple months as a WAN Security Engineer. They said to me that prior to starting the job, I need to brush up on Cisco Firepower because they use it a lot.

I have been able to find resources on knowing the concepts, terms, and how it operates. However, the resources I have found to set up a lab to practice navigating through it are outdated.

The instuctor (Todd Lammele) uses VMWare Sphere client to run it but his course was created back in 2021. To my knowledge, VMWare no longer carries this product and you have to use ESXi which you have to pay a small fortune for.

I already have a proxmox server that runs my home labs and I'd like to use this to run Cisco firepower instead. The Cisco firepower is an OVA file. I'm guessing I would need to convert it into an ISO file? Does anyone have any idea on just to give me a starting point on this?
