Is it possible to reinstall Operating System into container?

Is it possible to reinstall Operating System into container without deleting existing container? I just wanted to create a command that that allow to rebuild/re-install os into container (just like digitalocean , without deleting)

I guess there is no such functionality yet.
Backup/snapshot after provisioning are your only options to return.
