Hardware:
Server with one disk inside and one SAN connected with 2 FC path (multipath).
Proxmox installed on the inside disk.
Now, with the proxmox 1.3 the multipath is finally working and I want to use the SAN as "/var/lib/vz" but I want keep the proxmox running from the disk inside the machine.
Which is the right way to do that?
If I create a phisical volume on the SAN and the a new volume group (maybe named "san") and on top a logical volume (maybe named "vm") with some free extents and mount it as "/var/lib/vz" could be a good way?
Maybe can I experiment trouble with backup (vzdump seems to be smart but I'm not sure...) or with future upgrade?
Does the system use the "/dev/pve/data" naming schema in some had way?
thanks
