This issue is driving me crazy.
I used to have a traditional IMPI motherboard where I run proxmox, old stuff based on Java, but it worked
Looking to improve (especially on the consumption) I went for one of these new Q670 motherboards with an intel 13600T CPU where vPro is supported.
I'm scratching my head hard today, as I don't seem to be able to make this working.
Under the EMA configuration I have the option to share the NIC (very much wanted) however it's either EMA (responding to ping) or the OS when it boots. Using a different port the EMA IP doesn't respond but at least Proxmox can get a LAN IP via DHCP.
I'm not even going into the remote admin part yet all I would like at this stage is to have the first NIC (there are 4) where EMA lives apparently to respond to the same IP as the OS. THe other thing is: the EMA port gets an IP at POST but the lights are turned off as soon as the OS loads.
Has anybody crossed this bridge before? It seems unnecessarily complicated. Is it perhaps possible that proxmox doesn't support the vPro interface for whatever reason?
Any help/pi/input would be greatly appreciated.
Ultimately what I would like to do is to access the server pre-boot so BIOS, etc. as I used to do via the legacy IPMI/JAVA interface I had.
Thanks
