Hi There

I'd like to install Windows 8 on our Proxmox 2.0-57 system. I followed the tutorial under http://c-nergy.be/blog/?p=2666, but instead of using a disk image, I inserted the original Windows 8 DVD into the server's drive and configured a "physical CD/DVD Drive" instead. When I first-time start the machine, the following happens:

Code:
Booting from DVD/CD...
1023MB medium detected

Then, after a second or so, the console rescales to about 4x the size, and scales back quite immediately. After that, I see a blank screen with only an underscore (_) in the top left corner. Has anyone experienced the same problems?

I'd love to hear any advice.

Thank's a lot!
Remo

I just tested this and I was unable to use the Windows 8 DVD to install. It showed the initial loading screen (back screen with the blue windows logo) and just sat there. I had left it for about 10 minutes. I changed it to the Windows 8 ISO file and it booted up right away.

I'm not sure why there is a difference but I'd try converting your DVD to iso and try installing that way
