Installer won't boot (kernel panics), where to start?

I'm trying to boot the ProxMox installer on my System 76 Bonobo Extreme from USB. I used dd and the iso named "proxmox-ve_3.0-0428106c-13.iso" to make the USB stick.

Every time I boot it, it kernel panics after I press enter at the boot prompt.

Where do I start to try to get more information so I can try to find out what is happening?
