I saw a tutorial where the installer used two ssd drives with one for the OS and the other for VM storage. He made a point of saying that if the OS drive is overstuffed then it is hard to recover.
Now I only have one ssd in each of my nodes.
I was thinking that I could achieve the same protection of the OS storage by simply partitioning the single ssd into an os and vm partitions.
But the installer (when using ZFS) always completely overwrites the entire ssd.
Any thoughts on the intention and execution of the idea?
Otherwise I just have everything on one partition and have to monitor the disk free.
