[SOLVED] Installation problem (proxinstall line 246)

Greetings!

I am having a problem with PVE installation. During setup I recieve the followng error

command 'tar xvf /proxmox/pve-base.tar -C /target' failed with exit code 2 at /usr/bin/proxinstall line 246

What could be the possible reason? I am using USB DVD-ROM, I have tried to redownload setup image and burn it to different CDs but it won't help.

have you tried it whit usb install?
this error means you can't extract the tar file.
But why?

USB installation worked perfectly.

Also it did not present the screen resolution problem, which I had with CD installation (the screen margins were beyond the monitor).

It's still weird... let's leave it to hardware nuances.
