Server basic configuration Procesor AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5975WX (32cpus x2), Mainboard: ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI a BT. 64GB RAM som SSD HDD plus 1 nvME drive.
Problem: When I download ISO of last ProxMox, I get thru the menu, but as soon as kernel starts to load, it shows four line of texts (fith kernel modules) and dies. I woud say last what it load is Nuveau driver.

Have you ever saw such behavior? Other Linuxes and vmWARE are running on thos machine like a wind. No problems at all.

I would like to use this OS for combined use, but since I cn not load it, I can not do anything.

Can you help

Hi,

a photo or such of the last few messages is always helpful.

Anyway, you can try the following and see if that works for you:
In the bootloader, select "Advanced Options" instead and then "Install Proxmox VE (Console Mode - nomodeset)".

This avoids loading any graphics drivers and you might be able to proceed with the installation.

As you said:

This is typically solved by the above - also, I guess you have a Nvidia card installed?

Well, there is some ooooold nVidia card i found in the drawer.

Funny is, that with previous ProxMox release all passwd ok and it got to graphical installer. There it got suck on something and it could not proceed. I was doing all my magic to wake it up, but it still did not passed item. I found out that many Debian originated products have this behaviour. Havent you heard about this too?

Well, I switched to legacy boot type and used console installmore and possibly passed critical place in booting process
(?). I get stuck later. My screen shows this (see picture bellow).
To create USB I am booting from I used Balen Etch on MacOS/Windows, Balena, and Rufus. It boots fine up until install start to look for some ISO image (???) I thought all in on flash drive.

Had anyone solved this issue before? How you solved it?

Hi, A little late but still help others.... :)

In most case, it happens due to faulty installation media, please create like this and everything will be fine:
dd bs=1M conv=fdatasync if=./proxmox-ve_*.iso of=/dev/XYZ
