Install VMWare Workstation Pro on virtualised windows server 2022

Hi,

I would like to know if you have ever virtualized a Type 2 hypervisor in a Windows Server 2022 VM on Proxmox.

I am a student, and it's easier to do exercises using VMware Workstation than using Proxmox, and I don't have a physical Windows PC to do this, which is why I want this setup.

However, during the installation of VMware, when I create my VM and try to start it, I get a Hyper-V error telling me to uninstall it. Hyper-V is not present on the machine, so I think there is something else going on.

Regarding my setup, I have enabled "nested virtualization," and my CPU is set to host.

it's easier to do exercises using VMware Workstation than using Proxmox

so install Windows baremetal then VMware Workstation.
Disabling hyperv with "bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off" will be required too.
