Install pve zfs as root or not?

I want to install pve as normal (not zfs as root fs) and make /var/lib/vz partition as zfs. And mirror it with /dev/sdb

I do not prefer installing it as zfs root file system. Would I miss any advantage ? Any special reason for performance to choose to install zfs as root file system?

Hi,

never mix zfs with other fs on one disk, this will drop the performance extremely.

Thank you. Someone finally commented on this. So if I want to use zfs for /var/lib/vz partition as zfs, I must install pve with zfs root fs for a better performance you mean?

zfs needs the whole disk not only a partition.
If you use a partition everything on this disk will be slow.
