Hello,

I come to you because I have been trying to install Proxmox on a Dell PowerEdge T610 with a H200 RAID controller card for a while now.

The T610 and the Raid card are updated to the latest version. The Raid card is not in IT mode.

I tried to install in ZFS (RAID0 and RAID1) in ZFS (RAIDZ-1) then in B... .

Nothing works, I have an error message (See screenshot).

I saw that proxmox was not compatible with Hardware RAID controllers but would you have a solution please?

Thank you.
Cordially,
Nicolas

It seems that you have some leftover data on your array (perhaps chunks of old partition table, etc).
Boot proxmox iso, switch to console (CTRL+ALT+F3), run sgdisk --zap-all /dev/sda to zap your array, reboot.

Good evening.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I had an old Proxmox install from my old server on those drives.
I seemed to have erased them though.

Okay, I'll check that but that will be more next week.

Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Nicolas

Running zfs on a normal raid card is not recommended, best is to flash it to IT mode...
Google will help you link
