Hi.

I am trying to run Proxmov VE 3.1 on an HP Z800 workstation.
It appears to install properly however when I do the initial reboot it appears to lock up.
It has currently been sat for approx 5mins at the monitor self-test page.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Paul.

It could be some peripheral not recongnized or compatibile with the iso installer?

You could also try pve on top of wheezy (supported option, see wiki)?

Hi - Cheers for your suggestion
I have tried installing Wheezy and this install runs through ok but then will not boot in either standard or recovery modes.
I was able to run the Live Debian disk without issue.
To my untrained Linux eye it appears to be a potential driver issue but I can't see anyway to pinpoint this.

Yep - tried that first - got into Live Debian typed the commands as is and was told it couldn't find the file.
It was looking so good up until apt-get install pve-kernel-2.6.32-14-pve when it said it couldn't find the kernel
