Hi,

thought I'd try out Proxmox on a low powered system (MSI H110M, ), I'm currently using XCP-ng on my main server.

It appears that it's failing on the attempt for DHCP, then drops to the command line prompt. Note that the network inferface works when booted with ubuntu server,

Here is the screen info, any ideas? Thx.

Listening on LPF/emp0s31f6/[MAC ADDRESS]
Sending on LPF/emp0s31f6/[MAC ADDRESS]
Sending on Socket/fallback
DHCPDISCOVER on emp0s31f6 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 8
Unable to setup timer: out of range

...

does dhcp configuration work with buster?

Stoiko, thanks!

I used Buster net install and it works fine (MSI H110M, G4400, 4GB Ram). Checked network card ( lspci ), it's showing it as an Intel I219-V rev 31. I followed the instructions and installed Proxmox, which seems to work.

This will give me a chance to play with Proxmox to determine if I want to switch and if so, see if there's way to move XCP-ng VMs to Proxmox.

Thanks,
Concord.

Later I found out that it was a problem with the BIOS system time of my machine. It was in 2121 :D
