I have two installation of Debian Etch and in many cases
they loss the network connectivity.

Rebooting solves the problem but, i think, it's not a solution.

The two machines are KVM based and the difference with other
my solution is that in the working cases i have a Dell as Server and
in this specific case the Server machine is HP Proliant.

Disabling ACPI it works ok but on the Dell side i don't disable the
ACPI and all works fine.

Anyone reported this problem?

Have you tried updating the BIOS on the problematic machine?

Have you tried using e1000 instead of realtek as your NIC inside the KVM?

No, i didn't try to update the BIOS.

The real problem that the hang apparently appeard not in the two machines at the same time.

And the PVE nic is always up.

I don't know how to resolve, probably changing to e1000....
Tomorrow i'll post the facts
