Improve garbage collection File Access

Hi at all,

currently, a PBS server with mdadm and xfs is in production. In the near future, it will be joined by a ZFS appliance (we were able to obtain some RAM). Now, how can I increase metadata accessibility to speed up the garbage collector? Can switching to the deadline schedule be a solution in addition to readahead?

I have modified vm.vfs_cache_pressure to 10 as per the post:https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/p...arge-amount-of-backups-timeout-in-pve.111128/

Subsequently, I increased the readahead of the md* devices used by the file system, one of which is for metadata.

The problem is resolved.
