Hi all,

I've got an existing Debian 8 host running VMs (using KVM) hosted on a FreeNAS iscsi share. I've got one big physical volume and volume group on the LUN and use little logical volumes for each VM. Can I install Proxmox over the top of Debian and then import the existing volume group without losing the logical volumes?

Thanks!

UPDATE: you can indeed import the existing logical volumes, at least using the same VG name when 'creating' a volume group on the storage. I couldn't get the logical volumes to show up in proxmox's listing but I edited the VM config file by hand and it's up and running.

The virtual machine's swap partition shows up (the 2 gig raw partition) and one other I created as a test. The other storage is qcow2 raw -- would that cause proxmox not to see it?
