I am reading around and am looking into different solutions to provide the best offering we could offer at the best price.
From what i read so far it is possible to boot servers without any existing HDD using ISCIS
PROXMOX specific questions:
GLUSTERFS specific question:
Gluster allows clustering of the storage which allows for us to expand space without any downtime. this would allow us to scale our space by adding nodes as we do with proxmox nodes.
Is this scenario worth spending time to build? Hard drive less nodes with remote storage
Or do i need a local hdd for proxmox and use gluster only to store vm data.
Let me know. thanks!

PROXMOX specific questions:
- Is proxmox capable of being booted from a network device while the host server has no HDD?
GLUSTERFS specific question:
- Is gluster good enough as a network storage for proxmox?
- What would be preferred as mount ISCI or Gluster native mount?
- ISCI from what i read has upto 30% performance increase in reads over NFS
- GlusterFS native mount has high availability feature fail over built in <- this sounds like what i would want
