I don't understand how to use OpnSense under Proxmox - it's on a different subnet

Hello there, my configuration:

Bell GigaHub ISP modem/router @ 192.168.0.1 (I want to disable all functions and use PPPoE passthrough on OpnSense)
Proxmox Installation @ 192.168.0.100
OpnSense VM under Proxmox installed @ 192.168.1.1

These are all default values, on a brand new Proxmox and OpnSense installation - I was redoing my entire network from scratch - but I'm just a novice home user and now have hit a roadblock.

The OpnSense installed to 192.168.1.1 and can't ping anything, has zero internet connectivity, and obviously cannot even ping it's own Proxmox installation server at 192.168.0.100

All it can ping is 192.168.1.1 (itself, localhost I guess?) and has no further internet connectivity

I am super confused here, what am I supposed to do?

I created this diagram to help try and explain my current setup, and ultimately what I was hoping to achieve! I have not been able to enter PPPoE credentials yet because OpnSense can't reach the modem in it's current state. I have been trying to read! but I am stumped, sorry about that
