I can't figure out VLANs in proxmox

I just installed proxmox a couple weeks ago and for the most part enjoy it... buuut, I cant figure how I'm supposed to do vlans. I'm almost to the point of getting a 6 port ethernet adapter and giving every vm its own port. I'm attaching some screen shots. This is a fresh install. All I have done so far is build the bridges and a couple VMs. VMs have not been booted yet. I tried to boot the 4th VM (NetTools) and it gave the QEMU error seen at the bottom and would not boot. If I change it to VMBR0, it boots fine. Is there anything blatantly obvious that I'm missing? Any help is appreciated. vmFail1.png

I would say you haven't applied the config yet. It will also be displayed on the overview of your entire network configuration. If your switch can handle VLANs, I would make a tagged interface and give each vNIC the VLAN tag. This way you only have one interface and you don't have to create a bridge for every VM.

If that doesn't help, you would have to give us details, what error message is it, what does your configuration look like overall.

Restarting the node worked .... I'm curious how many of my failed attempts could have been solved by a reboot. putting the hurt feelings aside, how would I do the single vInterface? I tried something similar before and it didn't work (I probably needed to restart). Would I strip the CIDR, leave the gateway, make vlan aware, make each VMs network tagged with a VLAN then migrate the VMs to it?

Thanks for the assist.
