hylafax-vm with serial device passthrough?

Hi,

I should move a hylfax-server with a serial attached modem to a proxmox-vm.

I found the *qm set 107 -serial /dev/ttyS0" command to initiate the passthrough of the host-serial-port. Also I read, that the serial passthrough might not work perfectly...

Therefore I'd like to know:
- are there any success-stories about hylafax in a qemu-VM with proxmox?
- how would I unset the passthrough?
- might there be better solutions (I read about a USB->serial connector) than the serial passthrough?

Just to answer parts of my own question...

Setup with serial passthrough, seems to work (hopefully stable) :D

Just 1 comment on the set serial:

I have to use:
Code: 
qm set 107 -serial0 /dev/ttyS0
on the Proxmox-Host.
