I have been unable to install Proxmox with a HighPoint RocketRaid 182X card. The system stalls after boot:. I would like to use this card because it has 6 drive capability where as my adaptec card only supports 4 drives. Is there something I am overlooking. BTW I am using 1.3.

Without any other option so far, should I just install proxomox on a bare metal debian box?

Well, the update of our previously used Debian XenServer to Promox worked.
I would give it a try....
