HP Proliant DL380p Gen8 servers

Has anyone had success installing on this server?
RAID Controllers:
HP Smart Array P420
HP Smart Array P420i (embedded)

Symptons: I boot up using an external DVD Rom using the latest proxmox (3.1). I hit "Enter" to install. Then the system either hangs or reboots. No error message at all.

What CPU has the server? What says the verbosemode? Is an Installation with Debian 7 available? Maybe Kernelproblems.. We also use G8 with proxmox. No problems yet. We have Xeon inside.

Yes. It's a Xeon processor. Verbose mode just doesn't say anything(hangs there after pressing "Enter"). Then reboots.

Does it work with other servers from HP, or is this you first one? I also have an DL380 at Home but an G6. This works. ML350 G8 works fine. Server Firmeware is up to date (ok maybe this doesn't help) The disk is ok? But the disk in an other Server.

I have other DL380 and works fine. It's just the new one. DL380p Gen8. I've been trying to update my other servers. Once I have proxmox 3.1 on this, I was going to move the VM's to this box.

Ok, this is an importend Information from you. We should search for differences between DL and ML Servers.

We use DL 380p's Gen8 without any issues.

Sorry everyone, looks like management has changed course. Since we've signed a contract with MS, we'll be moving all the Linux KVM to Hyper-V 2012r2. I don't feel like arguing with the Powers-That-Be. Thank you for all the help!!!
