Howto create a kvm from an ova file, in pve?

i was looking this

and wondered how could i try this in pve.

some google search result says it's an archive (tar) file, but i'm unsure...

is there an easy way to try this virtual appliance or should i better create the usual minimal linux server kvm and then install it from icinga repos?

You can work with these ova files in virtualbox. Then see what hard disks are within the ova file export and use these within proxmox.
