How to show the vm netbios name in sumary tab

Hi everyone,

Is there any way to display the netbios name of the virtual machine in the summary tab of Proxmox?
Similar to what the vmware agent does. I installed the qemu-agent, but it only shows the ip and mac address.

Hi @ABA74 , welcome to the forum.

The closest command to get this information is "qm guest cmd 9000 get-host-name". There is no place in UI where it gets called or displayed.

There are two ways to achieve your goal:
a) Put a Feature Enhancement request
b) Develop a patch and submit it for inclusion
